Multi BIS / BISS / Phil HOF / Aust Ch Orobay Back To Reality (Australia) – Mikey

Mikey arrived from Australia in 2007. He started his show career in spectacular fashion, winning BIS and RuBIS from the classes, a first for a beagle. By the end of 2007, Mikey was #4 National Dog of the Year and #7 PCCI Dog of the Year.

Then came 2008, the year Mikey shone above all others. Mikey won the 2008 National and PCCI Dog of the Year awards, becoming the country’s top dog for 2008. He did it in dominant fashion, accumulating over 11,000 all-breed points.

Proving his accomplishments in 2008 weren’t a fluke, Mikey repeated as the country’s National and PCCI Dog of the Year, again becoming the country’s top dog in 2009. In 2009 alone, Mikey won 50 best in shows, accumulating over 12,000 points. He now has over 1000 hall of fame points. Mikey is the only hound to win become the country’s top dog for two consecutive years.

We are hoping Mikey waves his magic again in 2010. Currently, leads the top dog standings for 2010. Our fingers are crossed that Mikey finishes 2010 the way he started it, number one.

So far, Mikey has 96 all-breed Best in Shows and 43 Runner up Best In Shows. He now holds the all-time record in the Philippines for most best in shows among all-breeds. His 96 all-breed best in shows is also the all-time record for the most best in shows won by a beagle anywhere in the world.

Mikey also owns multiple Best In Specialty Shows, including the 2009 Beagle National Specialty and the 2009 Beagle Pre National Specialty.

Before coming over from Australia, Mikey won best of breed, puppy in group, puppy in show in the 2005 Brisbane Royal and again best of breed at the 2006 Brisbane Royal. At a very young age of 18 months, Mikey was almost halfway to his Australian Grand Championship when he arrived here in the Philippines.

Mikey is co-owned with our good friend Frank who is instrumental to Mikey’s success! Together with his handler Gerry Narabal, Mikey is now at the top of the Philippine dog show world.

Our sincerest thanks go out to Mikey’s breeder, Rhonda, who entrusted us with such a sweet and wonderful boy.

We would like to thank all the judges who took their time out to judge Mikey, win or lose. Your accolades serve as our inspiration and your criticisms serve as our guide. Again, thank you so much to all of you.

Multi BISS / Multi RUBIS / Phil HOF / Am Ch / Asian Ch Windkist Strike Zone (USA) - Striker

Striker, my first show beagle, started his show career in the Philippines in the second half of 2002. Despite his late start, Striker finished 2002 as the Philippines’ #1 hound, #1 beagle and #17 all-breed.

It was an awesome 2003 for Striker. Our lovely dog finished #8 all-breed, #1 hound and #1 beagle in the country. Striker is the first and only beagle to finish in the Philippines' top-10 all-breed.

The year 2004, albeit great was bittersweet. Striker finished as the nation’s #1 hound, #1 beagle and #11 all-breed, ending three glorious years of showing. Striker officially retired on the evening of December 18, 2004.

Before he left for the Philippines, Striker sired a few American champions. Striker has proven himself not only as a top show dog, but also as a top producer.

My lovely dog has produced an all-breed best in show winner, a multi best baby puppy in show winner, a multi best baby puppy in specialty show winner and a Nationals winner. Bumper, Striker’s record winning hall of fame daughter is the nation’s top female beagle for 2004. Though all of Striker's gets are still young, they certainly look promising.

During the AKU show weekend held on July 10 - 11, 2004, Striker won back-to-back BIS-3s, a feat never before achieved by a beagle.

Sired by the NBC’s sire of the year for 2002, Am Ch Just-Wright Home Run and out of the NBC’s 13” dam of the year, also for 2002, Am Ch Bijoux A Walk In The Clouds, Striker has brought me great joy. His achievements have definitely exceeded my expectations.

I will certainly miss Striker in the ring, but his legacy lives on with his children.

BIS/ Multi RuBIS/ Thai Ch/ Phil Grand Ch Woodstock Strauss Orchestra (Thailand) - Bubu

Bubu is the latest addition to the Olympic Gold family, arriving in March 2010. He is our first pug, who, with his amazing personality, made us fall in love with the breed.

Bubu became a Thai Ch in only one day of showing and a Philippine Champion in only two days, a record in both Thailand and the Philippines. He also became a Philippine Grand Champion in four days, by winning eight consecutive group 1s, a BIS and two Reserve Best in Shows. He is the fastest pug in Philippine history to achieve his Philippine Championship and Grand Championship. He achieved all these at 8 months old.

We look forward to amazing things with our young boy! Frank and I proudly co-own and love Bubu with Jed Chua and Aaron Go.
